Shopping carts and car seats: a dangerous combinat
It is not a rare occurrence when a parent places the infant car seat on top of a shopping cart, however, this is very dangerous for the child, so please do not do it.
The car seat is not strapped or in any other way attached to the shopping cart, which makes accidents very likely to occur.
Car seat manufacturers are well aware of the misuse of their car seats. Most car seat manuals now include a warning against placing infant carriers on top of shopping carts, which explicitly states that this is dangerous and not recommended, therefore you do it at your own risk.
If the sheer danger factor isn't stopping you from doing this, then you might also want to be aware of the fact that once you use your carrier outside of its normal use (as in the case of placing it on top of a shopping cart) you void warranty and if the product fails, you will be unable to use warranty.
If you are still desperately looking for a child car seat that would be handy for going to the store, then Kiss 2 is the right choice for you. There are wheels integrated into the car seat, which make it possible to drag the car seat around as easily as a suitcase on wheels.
